Intro

Chrome on iPhone supports keyboard shortcuts when an external keyboard is connected via Bluetooth. The shortcut set is smaller than on desktop, limited to browsing actions like opening tabs, navigating history, reloading, and controlling the address bar. Chrome DevTools are not available on iOS.

If you use an iPhone with a Bluetooth keyboard as part of a mobile setup, these shortcuts reduce how often you need to tap the screen for common browsing actions.

Using Chrome shortcuts on iPhone

External keyboard required. Chrome's keyboard shortcuts on iPhone only work with a physical keyboard connected via Bluetooth. On-screen keyboard shortcuts are not part of this reference.

Discover shortcuts with the Command key. On most Bluetooth keyboards, holding the Command (⌘) key while in Chrome on iPhone shows an overlay listing the available shortcuts for the current context. This is the fastest way to learn what's available.

Scope of coverage. Shortcuts cover tab management (new tab, close tab, switch tabs), browsing navigation (back, forward, reload), and address bar access. This is a focused set of the most useful browsing shortcuts, not a comprehensive shortcut system like on desktop.

No DevTools. Chrome's developer tools are a desktop-only feature. They are not accessible in Chrome for iOS, regardless of what keyboard is connected.
