Superhuman Keyboard Shortcuts

Superhuman is built around keyboard-first email: almost everything, from archiving to snoozing to switching folders, has a single-key or two-key binding, plus a command palette (⌘K/Ctrl+K) for anything you don't remember. These shortcuts come from Superhuman's own v8 references, one version newer than what's commonly linked elsewhere.

macOS Uses Command (⌘) as the primary modifier for compose/formatting actions and plain letter keys for most inbox actions (E to archive, R to reply). A handful of actions use different keys from Windows/Linux beyond the modifier swap, not just a Cmd-for-Ctrl substitution.

Windows Uses Ctrl as the primary modifier. Alt takes over for account-switching and copying a page link, to avoid clashing with Ctrl+1-9 tab switching and other Ctrl-based bindings.

Linux Matches the Windows shortcut set key for key, Superhuman documents Windows and Linux together as one reference.

What Superhuman shortcuts cover

Superhuman's shortcuts fall into a handful of areas: quick actions and conversation triage (archive, snooze, star, trash), composing and sending, labels and folders, calendar, text formatting, and window/tab navigation.

The single most useful one to learn first is Superhuman Command (⌘K/Ctrl+K): type what you want to do, and it shows you the shortcut for next time.

A printable PDF cheat sheet is available for each platform page. Useful as a quick reference while you build up muscle memory for the single-letter inbox actions.

FAQ

What's the most important Superhuman shortcut to learn?

Superhuman Command, Cmd+K on Mac or Ctrl+K on Windows/Linux. Type the action you want and it runs it, while showing you the dedicated shortcut for next time, so you can learn the rest of the shortcut set gradually instead of memorizing it upfront.

Does the "?" key show a shortcuts list in Superhuman?

Not anymore. As of the current shortcut reference, "?" opens Ask AI instead. Superhuman Command still opens the full list via its own Shortcuts entry.

Can I customize Superhuman's keyboard shortcuts?

No, Superhuman does not currently support remapping shortcuts. The keys documented here are fixed.
