Intro

Teams for the web on Windows uses Ctrl as its modifier. This page and the [Web on Mac page →] cover the same Teams web app with different modifier keys.

Web on Windows shortcut notes

Ctrl modifier. All Teams web app shortcuts use Ctrl on Windows, matching the desktop app.

Mute and unmute. Ctrl+Shift+M works in Teams for the web on Windows.

Core shortcut parity. Channel navigation, Ctrl+E for search, message compose, and call controls all work in the Teams web app. Browser shortcut coverage handles the full daily workflow for most users.

Browser shortcut conflicts. Ctrl+W closes the tab; Ctrl+T opens a new one. These take priority over any matching Teams shortcut.

Shortcut help. Ctrl+. opens Teams' keyboard shortcut panel in the web app.
