Intro

Teams for the web on Mac uses Command as its modifier, the same as the desktop app. Many organizations use Teams through the browser without installing the desktop app, and the web app's shortcut coverage is close to the desktop for core daily functions.

Web on Mac shortcut notes

Command modifier. All Teams web app shortcuts use Command on Mac, matching the desktop app pattern.

Mute and unmute. Cmd+Shift+M works in Teams for the web on Mac. Confirm it responds in your specific browser setup.

Core shortcut parity. Channel navigation, search, message compose, and call controls work in the Teams web app. For most daily workflows, the browser shortcut coverage is sufficient.

Browser shortcut conflicts. Cmd+W closes the browser tab; Cmd+T opens a new one. These browser shortcuts take priority over any matching Teams combination.

Shortcut help. Cmd+. opens Teams' keyboard shortcut panel in the web app, the same as in the desktop app.
