External keyboard required. These shortcuts only work with a hardware keyboard connected to the iPad, either a Smart Keyboard, Magic Keyboard, or a Bluetooth keyboard. Nothing here applies to the on-screen keyboard.
Tab switching. Cmd+1 through Cmd+3 switch between the Mail, Search, and Calendar tabs, the iPad equivalent of the view-switching shortcuts on desktop Outlook.
Message actions. Reply, Reply All, Forward, Archive, and Flag each have their own Command shortcut, separate from the plain Delete/Backspace binding that removes a message.
The Outlook iPad shortcut list is available as a printable PDF. It's a short list, worth learning in full if you regularly work with an external keyboard attached.
No. These shortcuts require a hardware keyboard connected to the iPad. The on-screen keyboard doesn't trigger them.
Press Cmd+A with a message selected. This is a smaller set than the desktop version but covers the everyday message actions, reply, reply all, forward, archive, and flag.
Yes. Cmd+1 switches to the Mail tab, Cmd+2 to Search, and Cmd+3 to Calendar.
