Intro

Google Slides on Mac runs in the browser, Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari. There is no native Mac app. The shortcut set uses Command (⌘) as its primary modifier. As with other Google Workspace apps on Mac, Cmd+/ opens the built-in shortcut reference panel inside Slides.

Mac-specific shortcut notes

Built-in shortcut list. Cmd+/ opens Google Slides' own keyboard shortcut panel without leaving the presentation. Categorized and searchable, useful for finding delivery shortcuts or less-common editing combinations.

Command as primary modifier. Slide management, text formatting, object selection and arrangement, and navigation all use Command. Standard formatting (Cmd+B, Cmd+I, Cmd+U) and undo (Cmd+Z) follow standard Mac conventions.

Presentation delivery. Starting the slideshow, advancing slides, going back, and controlling the screen state are all keyboard-accessible from Mac. Delivery shortcuts in Slides follow patterns familiar from PowerPoint: black screen control, slide-number jumping, and Escape to end. The exact shortcuts are in the table.

Object alignment and arrangement. Grouping and aligning multiple objects on a slide, sending to front or back, and distributing objects evenly have keyboard shortcuts that match the Mac modifier pattern.

Comments. Inserting comments and navigating between comment threads are keyboard-accessible.
