Intro

Keynote on iPhone supports keyboard shortcuts when an external keyboard is connected via Bluetooth or the Lightning/USB-C port. The shortcut set is smaller than on iPad or Mac, covering the core actions most useful when editing or delivering from a phone. For a more complete keyboard-driven Keynote experience, iPad is the better device.

iPhone-specific shortcut notes

External keyboard required. Keynote keyboard shortcuts on iPhone only activate with a physical keyboard connected.

Command modifier. Keynote on iPhone uses Command (⌘) when a Bluetooth keyboard is connected, following iOS conventions.

Slide navigation. Moving between slides in the navigator and navigating during a presentation are keyboard-accessible on iPhone.

Presentation delivery. Starting and advancing through a slideshow, going back, and ending the presentation can be done with an external keyboard connected to iPhone.

Object editing. Advanced object manipulation is primarily touch-driven on iPhone. Keyboard shortcut coverage for object editing is more limited than on iPad or Mac.

Discovering shortcuts. Holding Command on a connected keyboard in Keynote for iOS shows the available shortcuts for the current context.
