Intro

Nuke Studio on Mac uses Cmd in place of every Ctrl in Foundry's documentation, and Option for Alt, the same physical key. The Timeline's single-key tool cycles (Q, R, T) and drag-based gestures work identically to Windows.

Mac-specific shortcut notes

Cmd replaces Ctrl. Foundry's own note for Nuke Studio on Mac is a single substitution: wherever the Windows documentation prints Ctrl, press Cmd instead. Alt is written as Option here, the same physical key on a Mac keyboard.

Rendering. F5 and F7 render all or selected Comp containers from the Timeline, and all or selected Write nodes from the Node Graph or Properties panel.

Drag gestures. Option+drag ripples and duplicates a shot; Option held down partway through a drag activates Ripple mode instead. Shift+drag on a shot inserts a new track.

Printable PDF

The Nuke Studio Mac shortcut list is available as a printable PDF. The Timeline editing keys and the node-insertion shortcuts are the sections worth keeping at your desk.
