Intro

FL Studio on Mac uses Cmd and Option in place of Windows' Ctrl and Alt. Single-key tool shortcuts in the Playlist and Piano roll (P, C, D, E, and others) work with no modifier at all, as long as "Typing keyboard to piano" (Cmd+T) is off.

Mac-specific shortcut notes

Fn key for missing keys. Many Mac laptop keyboards have no dedicated Insert or forward-Delete key. Where a shortcut needs one of those (Cmd+Insert to add space, Cmd+Delete to delete space in the Playlist and Piano roll), use Fn+Return for Insert and Fn+Delete for forward Delete.

Backspace vs Delete. The key labeled "delete" on a Mac keyboard is actually Backspace (it deletes backward). FL Studio's Backspace shortcuts, like toggling snap in the Playlist and Piano roll, use that key directly.

F-key shortcuts. F5 through F12 toggle FL Studio's main windows directly: F5 for the Playlist, F7 for the Piano roll, F9 for the Mixer, F12 to close everything. On a MacBook these may require holding Fn as well, depending on your Keyboard system settings.

Printable PDF

The FL Studio Mac shortcut list is available as a printable PDF. The tool-switching and Channel Rack mute/solo shortcuts are the ones worth keeping nearby while producing.
