External keyboard required. Excel's keyboard shortcuts on iPhone only activate with a physical keyboard connected. On-screen keyboard controls are not part of this reference.
Shortcut scope. The iPhone shortcut set covers cell navigation (moving between cells, selecting ranges), formula entry and editing (entering edit mode, confirming formulas), and basic formatting shortcuts. Advanced desktop features, macros, Ribbon customization, Power Query, pivot table controls, are not available in the iPhone app.
Modifier keys on iPhone. Excel on iPhone uses Command (⌘) for most shortcuts when a Bluetooth keyboard is connected, following the iOS standard for keyboard-connected apps.
Discovering shortcuts. On an external keyboard connected to iPhone, holding the Command key while in Excel shows an overlay listing available shortcuts for the current context, a quick way to check what's supported.
