PowerPoint Add-In Shortcuts

Record
Ctrl+Shift+F9
Pause
Ctrl+Shift+F9
Stop
Ctrl+Shift+F10

Intro

Camtasia on Windows uses Ctrl as its primary modifier for Editor commands, alongside function keys for the standalone Recorder (F9/F10) and a PowerPoint add-in with its own recording shortcuts.

Windows-specific shortcut notes

Recorder function keys. F9 starts or pauses a recording and F10 stops it, both work from the standalone Recorder without opening the full Editor.

Panel switching. Single letters (B, E, R, F, N, T, O, A, U, V, D, X, C) open a specific panel tab with no modifier, the fastest way to move around the Editor.

PowerPoint add-in. Camtasia's PowerPoint recording add-in has its own three shortcuts (Ctrl+Shift+F9 to record or pause, Ctrl+Shift+F10 to stop), independent of the main Editor's shortcuts.

Windows-only navigation. A handful of timeline and library shortcuts, extending a selection to the timeline's start or end, selecting media to either side of the playhead, importing to the library, have no Mac equivalent.

Printable PDF

The Camtasia Windows shortcut list is available as a printable PDF. The panel-switching letters and the core timeline commands (split, group, ripple delete) are the most useful for everyday editing.
