Intro

Brave on Mac uses Cmd as its primary modifier, the same as Chrome and other Chromium-based browsers, with a handful of Brave-specific names like Private mode.

Mac-specific shortcut notes

Switching tabs. Cmd+Option+Right/Left cycles between open tabs on Mac, a different combination from the Ctrl+Tab used on Windows and Linux.

The Delete key. Mac's Delete key (in the position other keyboards label Backspace) combines with Option to delete the previous word in a text field.

Customizing shortcuts. Brave's own shortcuts page notes that everything listed here can be reassigned from Settings, System, Shortcuts.

Printable PDF

A printable PDF of Brave Browser shortcuts for Mac is available. The tab, window, and address bar shortcuts are the ones worth learning first.
