Intro

Airtable on Mac uses Command as its modifier. The grid behaves like a spreadsheet, so the cell shortcuts (Cmd+C, Cmd+X, Cmd+V, and range selection with Shift and the arrows) match Numbers or Excel. The Airtable-specific keys switch views and bases and work inside an expanded record.

Mac-specific shortcut notes

Command as the modifier. Copy, cut, and paste cells with Cmd+C, Cmd+X, and Cmd+V. Cmd plus an arrow jumps to the edge of the table, and Cmd+Shift plus an arrow does the same while selecting.

Duplicate by dragging. Hold Option and drag a record or field to duplicate it. Option plus the up or down arrow moves a record manually in the current order.

Screen scrolling. Fn plus the up or down arrow scrolls one screen vertically. Option plus Page Up or Page Down scrolls one screen left or right in a wide table.

Expanded record. With a record open, Cmd+Shift+Comma and Cmd+Shift+Period step to the previous and next record. Esc closes the record.

Printable PDF

The Airtable macOS shortcut list is available as a printable PDF. The grid navigation and record shortcuts are the sections worth keeping nearby while you work in a base.
