Intro

CorelDRAW on Windows uses Ctrl as its primary modifier, and most toolbox tools answer to a single letter or an F-key that works without Fn. Menu commands, dockers, and tools each have their own shortcut block in the table below.

Windows-specific shortcut notes

Snapping. Alt+Z toggles snapping to objects and Alt+Y toggles snapping to the document grid. Alt+Q turns snapping off. These keys changed after the 2018 release, when snapping to the grid moved off Ctrl+Y.

Selecting objects with the keyboard. With the Pick tool active, Tab reviews objects starting with the last one created and Shift+Tab starts with the first. Useful for reaching an object buried under others without clicking through the stack.

Shape tool and nodes. F10 picks the Shape tool. While it is active, Ctrl+Shift+I swaps the main and secondary node colors and Ctrl+Shift+G switches unselected nodes between filled and unfilled, which helps when nodes disappear against a busy drawing.

Transform docker. Alt+F7, Alt+F8, Alt+F9, and Alt+F10 open the Transform docker on Position, Rotate, Scale and Mirror, and Size. Corel stopped printing this block on its quick reference card after 2018, so treat these four as the shortcuts most likely to differ on a recent release.

Zoom and view. F4 zooms to all objects, F9 opens full screen preview, and Shift+F9 switches back to the previous viewing mode. In full screen preview, Page Up and Page Down step through the pages of a multipage drawing.

Dialogs on F-keys. F12 opens the Outline Pen dialog box, F11 with Ctrl inserts a character, and F1 opens product help. F-keys work without Fn on a standard Windows keyboard.

Printable PDF

The CorelDRAW Windows shortcut list is available as a printable PDF. The toolbox, object ordering, and docker sections are the most useful to keep next to the keyboard.
