Intro

CorelDRAW on Mac splits its modifiers in a way few Mac apps do. File and edit commands sit on Command, while inspectors, alignment, and several object commands sit on Control. Toolbox tools answer to single letters, not F-keys.

macOS-specific shortcut notes

Control, not Command, opens the inspectors. Ctrl+Return opens Properties, Ctrl+S opens Object Styles, Ctrl+A opens Align and Distribute, and Ctrl+V opens Views. On Mac these are Control chords, so they do not collide with Cmd+S for save or Cmd+V for paste.

Alignment runs on Shift. Shift+L, Shift+R, Shift+T, and Shift+B align the selected objects to an edge; Shift+C and Shift+E align their centers horizontally and vertically; Shift+P centers them on the page. The Windows build binds the same commands to the bare letters, without Shift.

Object order uses the bracket keys. Cmd+bracket moves an object one step, Cmd+Option+bracket moves it to the front or back of its layer, and Cmd+Ctrl+Option+bracket moves it to the front or back of the page. Right bracket moves forward, left bracket moves back.

Snapping. Cmd+Shift+Z toggles snapping to objects, Cmd+Shift+Y toggles snapping to the document grid, and Cmd+Shift+H toggles whether objects snap to themselves.

Toolbox letters differ from Windows. The Shape tool is A on Mac and F10 on Windows; Rectangle is R, Ellipse is E, Text is T, and Freehand is N. Zoom (Z), Pan (H), Eraser (X), Polygon (Y), Graph Paper (D), Interactive Fill (G), and Mesh Fill (M) match the Windows build.

What the Mac build does not carry. Corel's Mac quick reference prints no script or macro block and no product help entry, so those Windows shortcuts have no Mac counterpart here. Help itself opens with Cmd+Shift+?.

The CorelDRAW Mac shortcut list is available as a printable PDF. The inspector chords and the object ordering brackets are the two sections worth keeping next to the keyboard.
