Intro

Asana on Mac leans on a Tab-prefix pattern for most task actions (Tab+Q for quick add, Tab+C to comment), Cmd combinations for standard app actions (copy, paste, new window), and single letters for the Inbox.

Mac-specific shortcut notes

The Tab prefix. Most task-level actions are Tab held with a letter, not a leader-key sequence: Tab+D sets a due date, Tab+A assigns the task, Tab+T adds a tag. This is Asana's own convention across the app, not a browser Tab-navigation shortcut.

Where Mac departs from Windows. Switching tabs uses Cmd+Option+Right/Left Arrow on Mac, instead of Windows' Ctrl+Tab, and creating a follow-up task chords Shift with the Tab+F shortcut rather than Windows' Shift+Ctrl+F.

Non-English keyboards. Asana notes that some shortcuts may not behave as expected on a non-English keyboard layout.

The Tab-B shortcut. "What it sounds like" (Tab+B) only works once you turn on the Tab-B hack in Settings, it's not active by default.
