Switching studios. Affinity opens into one studio, and you move between Vector, Pixel, and Layout from the studio switcher in the top-left. This replaces the separate apps Affinity used before its 2025 relaunch.
Tools change with the studio. Single-key tool shortcuts activate without a modifier, but which tools are available depends on the active studio: vector tools in Vector, raster tools in Pixel, layout tools in Layout. The per-studio tool lists are on the studio pages.
Document and file handling. Opening, saving, exporting, and creating documents use standard Command-based shortcuts consistent across all studios.
View, zoom, and pan. Zoom to fit, zoom to 100%, and Space+drag to pan work the same regardless of which studio is active.
Panels and workspace. Affinity lets you rearrange panels and save custom studios; panel and workspace toggles are keyboard-accessible.
