Intro

Lightroom Classic on Mac uses Command as its primary modifier throughout, with Option for secondary variants. A block of AI-assisted features uses Control instead, and a few shortcuts genuinely differ from the usual Ctrl-to-Cmd pattern.

Mac-specific shortcut notes

Open catalog needs Shift. Cmd+O alone isn't it, Lightroom Classic on Mac uses Cmd+Shift+O to open a catalog, while Windows uses the simpler Ctrl+O.

AI-assisted features use Control, not Command. Headless enhance, HDR merge, pano merge, and their headless variants all use Control (not Command) on Mac, a deliberate exception to the usual modifier pattern.

Deselecting has two forms. Cmd+D deselects all photos, and Cmd+Shift+A does the same thing, an extra alternate binding Windows doesn't have.

Shift+T is heavily reused in the Develop module. Depending on which tool is active, Shift+T selects the Guided Upright tool, toggles Clone/Heal for the Spot Removal tool, or toggles Edit/Brush for the Graduated or Radial Filter, this is how Adobe's own reference documents it.

Printable PDF

The Lightroom Classic Mac shortcut list is available as a printable PDF. Given its size, the rating/flagging keys (1-5, P, X, U) and the module-switching shortcuts (Cmd+Option+1-7) are worth learning first.
