Intro

Thunderbird on Windows runs almost entirely on Ctrl, with F-keys covering message refresh, help, and pane toggles.

Windows-specific shortcut notes

Tabs use Ctrl+number. Ctrl+1 jumps to the mail tab, Ctrl+2 through Ctrl+9 to the next tabs in order. Linux uses Alt instead for the same tabs.

No dedicated quit shortcut. Mozilla's own documentation lists only File > Exit for quitting Thunderbird on Windows; Ctrl+Q is a Linux-only shortcut here.

The context-menu key. A dedicated Windows keyboard key (labeled with a small menu icon) plus F10, or Shift+F10 on any keyboard, opens a right-click menu.
