Intro

Tableau on Mac uses Command (⌘) as its primary modifier, with Option covering field-placement shortcuts (Option+Shift+letter) and a few resize actions.

Several bindings use different keys from Windows outright: worksheet cycling, revert, help, and swap rows/columns all differ beyond a simple modifier swap.

Mac-specific shortcut notes

Modifier keys on Mac. Command handles most core actions (new, save, print, undo). Option covers field-placement shortcuts onto shelves (Option+Shift+letter) and pairs with Command for a few window/resize actions like Ctrl+Cmd+Left arrow to make rows narrower.

Different keys, not just a modifier swap. New worksheet is Command+T on Mac against Ctrl+M on Windows. Help is Ctrl+Cmd+Shift+/ against F1. Revert workbook uses Option+Cmd+E against F12. Redo is Command+Shift+Z against Ctrl+Y on Windows.

Resizing rows and columns adds Control. Ctrl+Cmd+Arrow keys resize rows/columns on Mac, where Windows uses a plain Ctrl+Arrow.
