Global activation. A system-level keyboard shortcut activates the Sip color picker from any application. Click or move to pick a color from the screen. The default shortcut is configurable in Sip's Preferences.
Copy in format. After picking a color, keyboard shortcuts copy it in a specific format:
These copy-format shortcuts mean you can pick a color and copy it in the right format for your workflow without opening Sip's main window.
Format cycling. Cycling through available formats for the most recently picked color.
Palette navigation. Moving between saved palettes in Sip. Adding a color to the current palette by keyboard.
The Sip macOS shortcut list is available as a printable PDF. The shortcut set is small enough that the PDF primarily serves as a reminder of the global activation shortcut and the copy-in-format keys.
No. Sip is a macOS-only color picker utility.
In Sip's Preferences (accessible from the menu bar icon), the global color picker shortcut can be changed to any key combination that doesn't conflict with your other applications.
