Intro

DaVinci Resolve on Linux uses Ctrl and Alt as its modifiers across all seven pages, matching Windows. Page-switching (Shift+2 through Shift+8) and JKL playback work everywhere; each page then layers its own shortcuts for editing, grading, compositing, or mixing on top.

Linux-specific shortcut notes

Shares Windows key notation. Blackmagic documents Linux alongside Windows for almost every shortcut in this list: Ctrl and Alt are the modifiers, not the Mac-style Cmd and Option.

JKL everywhere. J, K, and L (reverse, stop, forward) drive playback on the Cut, Edit, Color, and Fairlight pages, and the Cut and Edit pages both build their fast-trim workflow on top of it: hold K while tapping J or L to step a frame at a time, or press W to enter Dynamic Trim mode.

Node trees on Fusion and Color. Alt+S adds a serial node, Ctrl+P bypasses one, and Ctrl+G groups a selection, the same shortcuts on both pages since they share the same node-editing engine.

One documented exception. Deleting a node in Fusion is Backspace, matching Windows rather than the Delete key Mac uses.

The DaVinci Resolve Linux shortcut list is available as a printable PDF. Page switching and JKL playback are worth learning first since they carry over to almost every page.
