Intro

Notes on Mac splits its shortcuts into note management (new note, folders, view switching), rich text formatting (headings, lists, checklists), and table editing, each with its own dedicated Cmd combinations.

Mac-specific shortcut notes

Quick Note. Fn+Q instantly creates a floating note you can attach to whatever app or webpage you're working in, without leaving your current window.

Shared notes. Ctrl+Cmd+I toggles collaborator highlights, and Ctrl+Cmd+K shows who's been active in a note you're sharing with others.

Linked notes. Option+Cmd+] and Option+Cmd+[ jump forward and back through a chain of notes connected by internal links, useful for working through a set of cross-referenced notes.
